The Big Dee Festival took place in August, at the new, improved Greenfield Dock.

This project which is a huge success so far is well worth going to see. Major funding was allocated by Kingspan, Scottish Power and Flintshire County Council. The official

opening of the western side saw hundreds of local people on the dock.

The Friends of Greenfield Dock and Coastal Environment Group are now planning a round of meetings with the County Council and associated environmental agencies.

The work of these groups is to regenerate the eastern side of the dock. Did you know that over 1,000 bags of rubbish were initially removed from the Dee Estuary?
